Environment Agency – Essential Maintenance Work
W/C Monday 16th September
We would like to advise all our visitors to Warnham Local Nature Reserve that the Environment Agency will be carrying out essential work on the millpond. This is scheduled to begin on Monday 16th September and last approximately two weeks.
This work will be focused on the dam embankment and to facilitate this, it will be necessary to drop the water level of the pond to ensure the contractors can work safely.
The reserve will remain open, however visitors should be aware that during this period the wildfowl populating the site are likely to be temporarily affected.
The welfare of the fish population will be a key priority and during the works this will be the responsibility the Environment Agency overseen by the HDC Countryside Wardens.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused by these works.
